Seoul Korean Bukchon Hanbok Village Engagement Photoshoot with Alex & Rob

April 17th, 2023

I had a chance to photograph Alex and Rob in Seoul, Korea. This photoshoot happened because my wife and I have planned a trip to Japan and Korea. Unbelieve coincidence that Alex and Rob were in Japan and Korea at the same time. We had originally planned to do the photoshoot in Kyoto, Japan when there were cherry blossoms but by the time we got there we were too late. It had already bloomed 2 weeks early due to the heat.

After realizing that it was too late for the cherry blossom photos, we decided to change our plan and do the photoshoot in Korean. At our first location we arrived pretty early so it was less crowded. We were photographed in a famous bukchon hanok village in Seoul, Korea. This place is definitely an awesome place for an engagement photoshoot due to its old school vibes.

To finish our photoshoot, they had rented hanbook for the final location in Gyeongbokgung Palace. They looked amazing in traditional Korean attire. Alex was actually born in Korea. She speaks fluent Korean. I know this meant alot for her and Rob. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to photograph you guys in Korean. It really makes me happy to be able to photograph your guys' wedding!
