Vancouver Pre wedding photoshoot at Sea to Sky Gondola Wedding with Akhil and Priyanka

February 4th, 2024

kindness and openness in sharing your lives with me truly touched my heart, and I'm thrilled at the thought of you both having the dream wedding you've always wanted in India. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to photograph you in such Sea to Sky Gondola and for your patience as we work in diverse lighting conditions. Your generosity in driving me to all these locations did not go unnoticed – I can't thank you enough for that.

Amidst the clouds set against the scenery of Squamish, British Columbia, the Sea to Sky Gondola stands out as a choice for couples in search of a wedding location as enchanting as their love story. For those planning to tie the knot in this spot here are some pointers to ensure your special day goes off without a hitch.

Book Your Date in Advance. The charm of the Sea to Sky Gondola as a wedding venue is undeniable so it's crucial to secure your date. Getting your preferred date locked in requires planning since spots fill up quickly due to the venue's popularity. By making reservations of time you'll have the flexibility to choose from dates and sufficient time to coordinate with your vendors and photographer, laying the groundwork for the wedding of your dreams.

Q:  When do people typically have weddings at the Sea to Sky Gondola?

A:   The Sea to Sky Sky Gondola is beautiful all year round, but  during the winter months it is quite cold so it is more challenging to plan a wedding during winter.  Typically weddings fall into the summer and early fall season as it is warmer and more enjoyable for guests.

Q: How do guests get to the Sea to Sky Gondola for a wedding?

A:  Guests can drive up to the base point of the gondola and park for free at the parking lot  and there is a lift up to the  Summit Point . It is a 1 hour commute from Vancouver. I would recommend guests commute together or book a limo or bus service so guests can enjoy the ride up  and have a couple of drinks during your wedding ceremony and not have to worry about driving.

Q:  Do guests have to pay for the gondola ride up?

A:  Tickets can be bought ahead of time for a discounted rate as a group purchase for your guests so they do not have to buy the ticket as they are coming up on the day off.

Q:  Can you have your reception at the Sea to Sky Gondola?

A:  The Sky Gondola does have an indoor reception venue. They have an in-house catering team that provides a seasonal and expansive menu. Please reach out to their team for more updated and detailed information.

My last tip: If you are going up there for an engagement or pre wedding photoshoot. Please book it ahead of time and there is a photography fee as this is a private establishment. Please make sure you book ahead of time and you avoid any awkward situation.
