Drawing from my experience at Alex and Rob&rsquo;s wedding I've gathered some insights and tips that could assist you in navigating your wedding preparations, at the UBC Botanical Garden.

1. Start planning as early as possible: This gives you ample opportunity to work with the vendors with experience with this location and know their way around the UBC Botanical Garden.

2. Picked experienced vendors:&nbsp; Choosing vendors who worked at this venue before to help you prevent any hiccups on the day off. This will help with planning a successful wedding at this beautiful location.

3. Let Nature Do the Talking: The UBC Botanical Garden's natural beauty is your d&eacute;cor's best friend. A minimalist approach highlights the venue's inherent beauty.

4. Weatherproof Your Plans: Hope for sunshine, but plan for rain. Whether it's tent rentals or an indoor backup, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan. Just in case you never know what happens, but regardless of rain or shine don't forget you're going to have a great time!

5. Give your guests a heads up on what to expect:&nbsp; Your invitation should let your guests know this is an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception that has many different terrains. This venue gets hot during the summer. This helps guests wear the proper attire when friends and family are more comfortable; this makes the experience a whole lot more enjoyable.

6. Make sure to bring enough snacks and water for everyone: A wedding on a hot summer day could be challenging for a lot of guests ensuring that you have snacks and water stations for guests to be more comfortable and hydrated on the day of is always a good thing!
&nbsp;
7. Planning for comfort is key:&nbsp; You could also provide foldable fans for guests to beat the heat. Recommend guests bring sunscreen and shades. Ensure that you provide insect repellent for guests as it gets dark. There are a lot of mosquitoes during the reception time, not a pleasant experience getting swarmed by mosquitoes for sure!

Vancouver Wedding at the Magical UBC Botanical Garden: A Day to Remember with Alex & Rob

I can&rsquo;t express enough how grateful I am to have been a part of Rose and Hoang&rsquo;s wedding. My first-ever engagement photo shoot was with them, and I ventured into it without knowing what to expect. It took just one photoshoot to change my life and inspire me in ways I had never imagined. I had never envisioned myself becoming a wedding photographer, but capturing these moments for my close friends meant more to me than anything else I&rsquo;ve ever done. Seeing the joy and happiness on their faces when they received the photos was life-changing. This is why I continue to do what I do&mdash;to be a part of people&rsquo;s stories and to keep creating beautifully crafted, emotional narratives that document life&rsquo;s greatest moments. Once again, I can&rsquo;t thank them enough. To me, they were the ones who started it all!

If you've lived in Vancouver, you know that we have unpredictable weather. Everyone hopes for a sunny wedding day. But there's something else to be said about rain on your wedding day; it definitely creates an ambiance unlike any other. No matter rain or shine, the most important part of a wedding is the emotions and feelings of the day and the coming together of both families, sharing in moments of joy and laughter. Brix and Mortar is an incredible venue that has an outdoor ceremony space that's completely covered, even if it's raining. This is the huge benefit of having a wedding at Brix and Mortar. Their ceremony space is unlike any other in Vancouver; it has a unique vibe with greenery and lights that create an ambiance unlike any other. Brix and Mortar is definitely an intimate wedding setting for smaller, intimate weddings.

Another great part about having a wedding at Brix and Mortar is its location in a Vancouver area with many great spots for photographs. On this day, we went to the downtown library. Even though it was raining, we were still able to get amazing shots at the library with its amazing architecture providing shelter from the rain, still able to capture incredible photographs of the couple.

This prenatal photoshoot was in Vancouver BC, Sunset Beach with Chris and Jett. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to photograph in downtown Vancouver. We walked from Sunset Beach to David Lam Park. We were able to capture many different sceneries because downtown Vancouver is so diverse. I just want to congratulate you Jett on your pregnancy!
